JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's soccer (2-3-2) and Jacksonville (1-4-3) drew 0-0 on Tuesday night in non-conference action. A chippy 90 minutes featured 29 fouls, 10 yellow cards, and just six shots on goal.
The Owls had the game's best chance (and the only chance of the first half) in the 10th minute but Arthur Widiez was denied from just outside the six-yard box.
FAU goalkeeper Nacho Alfaro came up with two back-to-back saves late in the second half to preserve the tie. He finished with three saves to record his third clean sheet of the season.
The Owls return to conference action on Sunday at home vs. Temple. The start time is set for 2 p.m. Admission is free at all FAU soccer home matches.
