SAN ANTONIO – The Florida Atlantic women's track & field team concluded their first season in the American Athletic Conference with the third day of the AAC Outdoor Champions on Sunday.
Competing in three events, the Owls put forth multiple solid finishes to put a bow on the season. Thanks to strong runs from
Jessica Lambert and Rosa Ten Berg, FAU finished the meet with 15 total points.
- Florida Atlantic was one of two teams to have multiple runners in the 800m finals. Lambert finished in fourth place with a time of 2:07.51
- Following closely behind was Ten Berg in fifth place, posting a time of 2:10.65
- In the 5000m run, Elyssa Toal finished in the top half of competitors and recorded a new personal best in the process (17:58.39)
The competitors for the NCAA East Regional First Round will be announced on Thursday, May 16. The rest of the Owls will enjoy of a summer of rest before regrouping for men's and women's cross country in August. Stay tuned for the schedule.
