BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Alberto Colas, a member of the Florida Atlantic men's tennis team, has been named to the American Athletic Conference All-Conference team, announced by the AAC on Wednesday afternoon. Colas is the program's first men's tennis player to receive all-conference honors by the AAC.
The native of Zaragoza, Spain held the Owls' top position in 2024 and earned a 13-5 record playing in every match. His efforts were instrumental in the team's No. 47 national ranking and AAC quarterfinal finish earlier this month.
He combined time on courts #2 and 3, building a 12-6 record in doubles play with partner
Juan Martin Jalif. The duo climbed as high as No. 71 nationally as a pair.
The 2024 season culminated Colas' two-year FAU career in which he built a 21-14 singles record and a 19-11 doubles mark.
