Owls Fall to the Niners on the Road

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – The Florida Atlantic softball team fell to the Charlotte 49ers in the series opener on Friday evening.
The Owls move to 30-9, 10-3 AAC after game one of the three-game series. Pitcher Trinity Schlotterbeck started in the circle for Florida Atlantic tonight in her 15th start of the season.

THE GAME
The 49ers got on the board early in the game to take the lead. In the fourth inning, Jaden Martinez went into the circle in relief for Schlotterbeck. Shortly after, Kelsey Endress made an appearance and faced four batters. In the fifth inning, Cally Kildow scored on a wild pitch to get the Owls on the board. STATS & NOTES
- Schlotterbeck registered four strikeouts in three innings
- Kamryn Jackson and Presley Leebrick each registered a hit on the night in two at-bats
- The Owls remain tied for first place in the AAC standings
- Schlotterbeck moves to 13-3 on the season
