BOCA RATON, Fla. –
Trinity Schlotterbeck for the Florida Atlantic softball team (20-6) was named American Athletic Conference Player of the Week for the first time this season, announced by the league Monday afternoon.
This marks the second award for Schlotterbeck as she was named AAC Pitcher of the Week on Feb.19.
After having a tremendous weekend, she set a new record in program history with three home runs and nine RBI in a game to close out the Owls' inaugural AAC series against Wichita State.
In 12 at-bats, Schlotterbeck registered five runs, five hits, and 15 total bases with a batting average of .417 on the week. On Sunday, Schlotterbeck had a day of setting new program records as she surpassed 14 total bases in a game.
The Owls return to Boca Raton to take on Indiana on Wednesday before hosting UAB, Friday to Sunday.
