Owls Host Tulane in First Meeting

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team will put their eight-match winning streak on the line this Friday when the Owls play host to Tulane at 3 p.m. The match and first meeting between the two American Athletic Conference members will be played at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center. Florida Atlantic is coming of a 4-1 win at North Florida ane will begin a six-match homestand on Friday.
Fans can anticipate a similar lineup that features freshman Panna Bartha. Bartha will enter Friday's match with a 9-0 record in singles dual match play. The Hungarian has been forced to a third set just twice. Playing on court #2 is Victoria Gomez O'Hayon, who is 7-2 in singles and 6-1 in doubles action for a 13-3 combined dual match record. On the 2023-24 season, Gomez O'Hayon is 12-5 in singles and 10-3 in doubles for a combined 25-8 mark. Millie-Mae Matthews has partnered with Gomez O'Hayon for the 6-1 doubles record and she is one of three Owls to hold five singles wins in 2024. Captain Amber McGinnis and Lexi Silna are the other two.

Furman will be the next opponent to visit Paradise and will do so on Tuesday, March 5 at 10 a.m. Pennsylvania will follow at the same time on March 7. All schedules are subject to change.
