Nine Straight Wins for the Owls

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team improved their winning streak to nine with a 4-1 victory over fellow American Athletic Conference member Tulane on Friday afternoon.
The Owls', 9-1 and on a program-best start, dropped the doubles point, but it was the last point FAU would surrender.
Florida Atlantic ran the table on courts #3 through #6. Lexi Silna was the first to capture a win taking court #3 by a 6-0, 6-2 score. Millie-Mae Matthews gave FAU its first lead with a 6-2, 6-2 score on court #5. Amber McGinnis and Carla Galmiche walked away with wins quickly thereafter to take the best-of-seven win.

Lexi (Silna), Carla (Galmiche), Amber (McGinnis) and Millie-Mae (Matthews) were consistent for two straight sets. There were no distractions, just pure toughness, composure, and discipline throughout the entire match.
