BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic baseball (4-4) will host the Skyhawks of Stonehill College (2-2) for a weekend series beginning Friday. The Owls are 3-2 on the current eight-game homestand.

OWLS IN REVIEW

The Owls are looking to get back in the win column after back-to-back defeats in the midweek. An 11-6 loss to UCF on Tuesday was followed by an 8-6 setback against UNF on Wednesday.

WHO'S HOT

Brando Leroux continues to lead the Owls in most offensive categories including average (.419), runs scored (11), and hits (13). The junior shortstop went 3-for-4 on Wednesday against UNF.

Christian Adams was named to the AAC's Weekly Honor Roll on Monday after a strong series against Towson. Adams finished 3-for-5 in Wednesday's defeat.

The Owls will use the same starting rotation of C.J. Williams, Trey Beard, and Tyler Murphy after each put forth a strong start last weekend. The trio combined to allow three runs on nine hits in 16 innings against Towson.

THE OPPONENT

Stonehill is 2-2 after a victory over Bryant on Tuesday. The Skyhawks dropped two of three against Bethune-Cookman to open the season back on February 16-17. The program competes in the NEC conference where they went 14-35 overall and 10-20 in league play last season. The Skyhawks are in their second season as a Division I program.

OPPONENT HISTORY

This will be the first meeting between Florida Atlantic and Stonehill.

UPCOMING

The Owls will travel to Gainesville to face No. 4 Florida on Tuesday before returning to south Florida for a weekend home-and-home series against FIU on March 8-10.
