Owls Make Their Way to Finals on Day One of Indoor Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Florida Atlantic women's track & field team punched multiple tickets to the finals in their first Indoor American Athletic Conference Championship appearance on Friday.
For the Owls, they got off to a strong start with the Pentathlon with a school record and concluded the afternoon with one of their best showings in the distance medley relay while earning multiple bids to the finals along the way.

QUICK HITS
- Promise Cross kicked off the championship with a fourth-place finish in the Pentathlon 60m hurdles. Her time of 8.73 ties for fifth in the all-time school record books
- She followed this up with a mark of 1.70 in the high jump, best in program history, to finish in fifth out of 22 competitors
- Jessica Lambert and Rosa Ten Berg will represent the Owls in the 800m finals after recording preliminary times of 2:10.97 and 2:13.69, respectively
- Anna Rovirosa earned a bid to the mile finals with a time of 5:02.24
- Day one closed with the second-best time in school history for the distance medley relay. Elyssa Toal, Adrianna Mier, Ten Berg, and Anabell Reumann combined for a time of 11:51.52
UPCOMING
