Owls to Face Osprey

BOCA RATON, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic women's tennis team will travel to Jacksonville, Florida this weekend, playing one of seven road matches on the schedule and the last before a six-match homestand, when the team faces North Florida on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 10 a.m.
The Owls are 7-1 on the year and riding a seven-match winning streak. The two teams have met nine previous times with FAU winning five including the last three. Florida Atlantic won its only match last week defeating South Alabama 5-2 on Saturday.
Five of the six starters have posted winning records thus far with freshman Panna Bartha holding an 8-0 record, completing every singles match played thus far and all on court #1. Court #2 has been held by Victoria Gomez O'Hayon, who holds a 6-2 dual match record and is 11-5 overall. Gomez O'Hayon is the first and only thus far to get to double-digit wins in 2023-24. Both Lexi Silna and Millie-Mae Matthews are 5-2 in dual match play.
FAU is 12-6 in combined dual-match doubles play and are led by the duo of Millie-Mae Matthews and Victoria Gomez O'Hayon. The two have posted a 5-1 record while the combinations of Amber McGinnis and Bartha as well as the team of Lexi Silna and Carla Galmiche have remained perfect at 3-0 and 2-0, respectively.

Florida Atlantic will return home to begin a six-match homestand on Friday, March 1 versus Tulane. The Owls will host Tulane, Furman, Pennsylvania, Yale, UTSA, and Boston prior to March 18th. All schedules are subject to change.
