BOCA RATON, Fla – Following the conclusion of the 2024 regular season, Florida Atlantic women's soccer defender
Jodi Smith has been named to the American Athletic All-Conference Second Team, while junior
Michelle Horan was named to the AAC All-Conference Third Team on Sunday afternoon.
Smith started in all 18 games played this season and recorded a total of 1538 minutes, playing in 12 complete matches. She registered a career-high of two goals. On being recognized as All-Conference Second Team for the second time, Smith said, "I am forever grateful for being able to receive this recognition for a second time. I would like to thank my coaches, teammates, and support staff for making this possible."
Horan was named AAC All-Conference Third Team. She made an appearance in all 18 games, leading the Owls with two goals and two assists on the year. Horan totals seven assists in her career as an Owl. After being named AAC All-Conference Third Team, Horan said, "It's a big honor to be recognized by the coaches because it shows the jump I made from where I was freshman year to now. This recognition can help me keep growing as we head into the off-season before my final year next fall!"
