TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida Atlantic's men's and women's cross country teams will travel to Tallahassee for the second time this season, this go around for the 2024 NCAA Regionals on Friday, Nov.15.
The Owls are set to compete in the NCAA South Regionals, with the races airing on ESPN+. The women will run the 6K at 8:30 a.m., while the men will take on a 10K run beginning at 9:30 a.m. Florida Atlantic looks to continue to carry the success season of the 2024 season. This marks the second time Florida Atlantic has competed at this course this year. On Oct. 11, the Owls set new program marks at Apalachee Regional Park, with
Constance Pittet breaking a 14-year school record.
On the women's side, Pittet,
Kayla Groppe,
Jessica Hatch,
Leah Helms,
Isabel O'Brien,
Elyssa Toal, and
Andi VanMeter will compete in the 6k for the Owls. On the men's side,
Noah Curfman,
Joseph Garcia,
Paul Glick,
Samuel Henery,
Donovan Petty, and
Enrique Toro will run the 10k.

Women (2024 AAC Championship)
- Out of 100 runners, Pittet finished in eighth place, first for Florida Atlantic, with a time of 21:16.2 in her first appearance in a postseason race
- Hatch came in second for the Owls as she placed 33rd overall on the course with a time of 22:24.1
- Seconds behind was senior Toal, running a 22:34.1
- In her first AAC postseason, VanMeter completed the race in 22:48.6
- O'Brien finished 62nd overall (23:10.0)
- Helms (23:27.0) and Groppe (23:45.7) came in 70th and 72nd place to close out the race of the Owls
Men (2024 AAC Championship)
- As a team, Florida Atlantic recorded 354 points on the day
- Henery got it started for the Owls when he was the first to cross the finish line.
- Right behind was the freshman Petty with a time of 27:00.0
- Back-to-back were Curfman and Garcia in their first appearance in an AAC Championship
- Glick and Toro crossed the finish line last for Florida Atlantic in 89th and 90th place overall
- The Owls started off the season strong at the Florida Atlantic Invitational as the women's team placed first out of six teams for the first time since 2019
- Senior Toal secured the number one spot in program history for racing in the South County Regional Park during the tenth annual FAU Invitational
- On the men's side, Glick came in fifth overall to help the Owls claim third place to kick off the 2024 season
- At the UNF Invite, freshman Pittet placed first for Florida Atlantic on the day and was one of the six to claim a spot in the top 25
- In the last regular season race, Pittet set a new program record after nearly 14 years, now holding the best 5K time in school history with a mark of 17:32.9. Pittet placed seventh overall and came in first for Florida Atlantic.
- Many records were set on the day at the FSU Invite as VanMeter and Toal also set new program records.
- Pittet was named AAC All-Conference after her first postseason appearance
