TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The Florida Atlantic men's and women's cross country teams will be in Tallahassee on Friday morning to compete in the FSU XC Invite for the second year in a row for their final outing before the American Athletic Conference Championships.
This marks the third race for the Owls after two strong outings to start the season. On the women's side, they have placed within the top two spots two races in a row. The men's side has seen a finish within the top five spots in each race.Â

Women (5K)
- At the UNF XC Invitational, the Owls had six runners claim a spot in the top 25 and took second, third, and fourth place overallÂ
- In only the second race of her collegiate career, freshman Constance Pittet came in first for Florida Atlantic with a time of 18:38.5
- Following Pittet were seniors Elyssa Toal (third, 18:41.9) and Leah Helms (fourth, 18:43.9)
- Coming in ninth overall was Andi VanMeter (18:55.7) on the night
- Jessica Hatch placed 17th overall with a time of 19:23.6
- Following closely behind was freshman Emilee Moen, as she registered a time of 19:36.1 in the 22nd spot
- In the 27th and 31st place was Isabel O'Brien (19:59.2) and Ava Aseere (20:13.2)
Men (5k)
- Senior Samuel Henery got it started for the Owls when he was the first to cross the finish line. He registered a time of 16:25.0
- Seconds behind was senior Paul Glick with a time of 16:25.9, as he placed 24th on the evening
- As a team, Florida Atlantic recorded 118Â points on the night
- Joseph Garcia was the third Owl to cross the finish line and came in 33rd with a 16:56.9
- In their second race of the season Noah Curfman (17:07.9), Donovan Petty (17:26.8), and Jake Jacoby (17:33.0) placed 41st, 46th, and 50th.
- Sophomore Enrique Toro registered a time of 17:38.6

The Owls will travel to Wichita, Kansas, to compete in the 2024 American Athletic Conference Championship at the Clapp Cross Country Course on Saturday, Nov. 2.
