Men's Tennis Captures Season Opener 5-2

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's tennis captured their season opener over Georgia Southern 5-2 on Saturday night, playing for the first time under the lights at the Kimberly V. Strauss Tennis Center.
The match, delayed by an hour to wait for weather to move through the area, saw the Owls capture the doubles point by recording wins on courts one and two.
FAU's second point was earned by Alberto Colas' quick work on court one: 6-0, 6-3. The match was clinched by Juan Martin Jalif, who won court four: 6-3, 6-4. The two teams would go on to play out the remaining matches to gain early season work.
