BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University's men's and women's swimming and diving teams will open their 2023-24 regular season with a meet against Indian River State on Friday.Â

The Florida Atlantic Owls are coming off a 2022-23 season that culminated in the men's team finishing as runners-up in the CCSA Championships with 17 medals (three gold, 10 silver, four bronze) as well as the conference diver of the year in
Brandon Shepherd. The women's team, competing in their first season in the American and first AAC championships, won three medals and also saw
Alicia Mora qualify for the NCAA nationals on the 1-meter dive, the first Owl to do so since 2017.Â

Florida Atlantic will return record setters such as
Dalton Lillibridge and
Nick Shaffer and their conference diving champion Shepherd, while the women's team will return medal winner
Amelia Robertson and 2023 NCAA diving nationals participant Mora.

The Owls will be led by captains
Jackson Kirk,
Maggie Casey,
Nick Shaffer,
Julia Earnshaw, and
Selina Staudenherz.

Up next for Florida Atlantic will be a dual meet against Nova and the University of Florida, to be held in Fort Lauderdale on Friday, Sep. 29.
