Max Sturdza is tied for third, four shots off the individual lead.

- After six birdies led to a 69 on Monday, Sturdza (-9) went one lower on Tuesday with a five-under, 68 to stay in contention. Â Â
- Sturdza has two runner-up finishes in his FAU career – he will look to catch Kennesaw State's Shaun Cook (-13) on Wednesday.
- Sturdza wasn't the only Owl going low on Tuesday – freshman NaShawn Tyson (-3) fired a three-under 70 that included four birdies and an eagle three at the par-five first hole
- Tyson was equaled by his fellow freshman Andres Atrio (-1) – the Coral Gables native bounced back from a 75 on Monday with six birdies in round two.
- As a team, the Owls are -13 – Kennesaw State leads at -30.
