CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team hits the road for the first time on Sunday night for a matchup with Miami.

About the Owls

The Owls are coming off a 2-2 draw with Little Rock in Thursday's season opener
Elin Simonardottir opened the scoring off a corner kick in the seventh minute
After the Trojans tied the game in the 25th minute, Simonardottir connected for her second goal of the night just three minutes later
The Owls 2-1 advantage persisted all the way up until just under 10 minutes remained in the second half
Little Rock was awarded a penalty for a foul on the edge of the box – they would convert to the tie the match and that's how it finished
Simonardottir finished with a team-high three shots on goal
Blythe Braun came on in relief and played the final 65 minutes after starting goalkeeper Lexi Gonzalez left with an injury in the first half
