TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – No. 15 Florida Atlantic beach volleyball (13-11) wrapped up play at the Unconquered Invitational on Saturday, falling against No. 5 LSU (20-9), 3-0, and No. 3 Florida State (26-3, 6-1 CCSA), 3-2, in Tallahassee.
LSU captured their first point on court one as
Ellie Austin and
Christine Jarman fell against the Tigers' Kylie Deberg and Ellie Shank in straight sets, 21-17, 12-21, 10-15.
Logan Mignerey and
Stephanie Young then fell in a two-set battle on court five, 21-18, 21-18, on court five to give LSU the 2-0 lead. The Tigers closed out the match on court two, as
Ashleigh Adams and
Julie Honzovicova fell 21-17, 21-15 to lift LSU to a 3-0 win. Courts three and four were left unfinished because the dual was played to decision due to inclement weather in the Tallahassee area.
