BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University baseball will complete its season series with UCF on Tuesday night at home. The Owls are coming off a three-game sweep of Middle Tennessee over the weekend.

THEME and PROMOTIONS

Tuesday night is alumni night at the ballpark. The Dunkin trivia table will also be on hand at the marketing tent. Students will have a chance to win a Dunkin gift card.

OWLS IN REVIEW

The Owls got back to 3-3 in Conference USA play with a sweep of Middle Tennessee over the weekend. The key to the series was strong pitching.

The bullpen preserved a 7-5 lead on Friday night until Caleb Pendleton broke the game open with a grand slam in the 7th. Jacob Josey allowed just two unearned runs on Saturday before C.J. Williams closed out the final three frames. Finally on Sunday, Nicholas Del Prado earned his first win of the season with 4.2 innings and one run allowed.

WHO'S HOT

Dylan Goldstein was 7-for-14 in four games last week and enters Tuesday with an 11-game hitting streak.
Jackson Ross was 6-for-12 in the MTSU series with two hits in each game.
Robert Wegielnik appeared twice against MTSU and did not allow a run in 1.2 innings. He struck out four and has seven strikeouts across his last three appearances.

THE OPPONENT

UCF dropped two of three against Maryland over the weekend. Since the last meeting with the Owls, the Knights swept two games against then-No. 21 Florida State and swept Dartmouth in a three-game series.

Leading hitter Ben McCabe enters Tuesday with a .438 average, 10 HR, and 20 RBI. Freshman Drew Faurot leads UCF with 26 RBI.

OPPONENT HISTORY

The Owls won the first meeting with 13-3 on February 21. FAU hit four home runs including two by Jackson Ross. Ross also drove in five runs. A five-run seventh inning broke the game open. Armando Albert led off the game with a solo home run and went on to score four times. Evan Waterbor went four innings in his first collegiate start.
The teams split two games last season with the home team winning each.

UPCOMING

The Owls welcome Rice to town on Friday to start a three-game C-USA series.
