BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's basketball team will have a chance to make history in the final home game of their historic 2022-23 season, facing off against UTEP on Saturday afternoon. With a win, the Owls would clinch at least a share the Conference USA regular season title for the first time in FAU history and finish the season with an undefeated record of 17-0 at the Eleanor R. Baldwin Arena. FAU currently stands at a win/loss record of 25-3, 15-2 in conference play. The Owls have also never gone undefeated at home in the program's history.

Saturday will also mark Senior Day for FAU, as they will honor
Michael Forrest for his five years with the team. In Thursday's 106-66 victory over UTSA, Forrest became the school's number two scorer of all-time with 1,565 career points.

- Thursday night against UTSA saw Florida Atlantic crossing the 100+ points mark for the second time this season
- The Owls' offense exploded in the second half with a season-high 61 points on 64% shooting from the field and an unworldly 9-12 from behind the three-point line
- Balance was the name of the game for FAU's offense, with seven players tallying double digit points. Forrest led the way with 19
- Despite the recent shuffling in the starting lineup, the Owls bench remains on top of the nation with 51 points combined in their most recent outing
- Vladislav Goldin is in the best offensive stretch of his career. In the month of February, he is averaging a team-high 15.6 points on an incredibly efficient 68% shooting
- It was a night to remember for both centers, with Giancarlo Rosado putting forth a season-high 14 points on 4-5 shooting from the field and 6-7 from the free throw line
- The Owls received contributions from unsung heroes such as Tre Carroll, who scored 11 points on 4-5 shooting and added six rebounds in just 11 minutes
- FAU will look to sweep the season series against the 13-15 Miners after a 67-59 victory on Jan. 21, a game they controlled from start to finish
- The Miners defense' had no answer for Johnell Davis, who dropped 20 points on 6-9 shooting and 4-5 from downtown.
- FAU also has a chance to take the lead in their all-time series against UTEP, currently tied at six wins and six losses
- The Owls will have to avoid giving up the ball against a UTEP defense that averages a C-USA leading 9.2 steals per game and ranks 13th in the nationÂ
