2023 NFL Owls - Week 4 - Florida Atlantic University Athletics

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 4 of the 2023 NFL season is in the books with six former Florida Atlantic Owls seeing action. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the fourth week (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):

#2 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | Tennessee Titans
- It was another strong afternoon for Al-Shaair in the 27-3 blowout win over the Cincinnati Bengals, tying his mark in the previous week with nine tackles. He also addded two QB hits on seven blitzes. Through four games, the captain leads Tennessee with 32 tackles.

#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Cleveland Browns
- Bryant played 12 offensive snaps in the 28-3 loss to the Baltimore Ravens, recording one catch. He also made his mark on special teams, playing a season high 14 snaps and making one tackle. Now becoming a jack of all trades, Bryant was once again used on a successful QB sneak on fourth down, one of two Owls in Week 4 to play the role of quarterback.

Next Game: Cleveland will take their bye week before regrouping against the San Francisco 49ers on Oct. 15

#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
- While Hendrickson played a season low in snaps in the 27-3 loss against Al-Shaair in the Titans, it did not stop him from his logging usual monster production. He tied his career high with six tackles, including one for a five-yard loss, and added half a sack. Though it is no surprise, the two-time Pro Bowler leads the Bengals in sacks through four games with 3.5.

#1 Greg Joseph | K | Minnesota Vikings
- Joseph, who has not missed a kick in 2023, knocked in all three extra point attempts as the Vikings picked up their first win of the season, 21-13, over the Carolina Panthers. He also boomed every kickoff attempt for a touchback.
Vikings' Record: 1-3
Next Game: vs. Kansas City – Sunday, 4:25 p.m. (CBS)

#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Pierre participated in 17 special teams snaps, second most on the team, in the Steelers' 30-7 loss to the Houston Texans.
Steelers' Record: 2-2
Next Game: vs. Baltimore – Sunday, 1 p.m. (CBS)

#26 Devin Singletary | RB | Houston Texans
- In Week 4 of his fifth NFL season, "Motor" showcased a trick not seen since his days with the Owls: playing the role of quarterback.

Singletary threw two passes during his time at Florida Atlantic, completing both of them for a total of 37 yards. Now, he finds himself 1-1 when throwing the ball in his NFL career with a passing TD to his name. The touchdown added to Houston's big lead that ended up with a 30-7 victory over Singletary's former Owl teammate James Pierre and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

#73 Brandon Walton | OT | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- Walton was inactive as Tampa Bay picked up a big win against the rival New Orleans Saints,
Buccaneers' Record: 3-1
Next Game: Tampa Bay will enjoy an early bye week before taking on the Detroit Lions on Sunday, Oct. 15

#80 Zaire Mitchell-Paden | TE | Cleveland Browns
- Mitchell-Paden received his first callup to an NFL game, but was on the team's inactive list in their 28-3 loss against the Baltimore Ravens.

#29 Herb Miller | CB | Buffalo Bills
- Needing reinforcements in the secondary, the Bills have signed Herb Miller to the practice squad ahead of Week 5.
