TAMPA, Fla. – Florida Atlantic men's soccer (5-6-3, 3-4 AAC) closes the regular season on Wednesday at USF (5-8-1, 2-4-1 AAC). A win would secure the Owls' place in the AAC Postseason Tournament for the first time. Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m.
Â
- The Owls enter Wednesday's play with nine points, fifth in the AAC standings.
- The top six at the conclusion of play on Wednesday qualify for the conference tournament.
- FAU could finish fourth, fifth, or sixth. A win over USF combined with a Memphis loss to Charlotte would move the Owls up one spot where they would host a first-round tournament matchup.
- If the Owls beat USF but Memphis wins or draws with Charlotte, FAU would finish fifth. The Owls will also maintain fifth place if they draw and Temple loses or draws with SMU.
- The Owls can still qualify with a loss but would need a Temple loss and a Tulsa loss or draw vs. FIU.Â
- USF (5-8-1, 2-4-1 AAC) enters Wednesday with seven points, in seventh place in the AAC standings.
- The Bulls had won two straight before falling to Memphis on the road last Friday.
- Graduate senior Jalen Anderson leads the Bulls with six goals and 14 points.
- Goalkeeper Alan Horrocks is third in the AAC in total saves Â
- These two sides drew 1-1 in last season's matchup in Boca.
- USF leads the all-time series 12-3-3.
- The AAC Tournament begins Sunday at campus sites TBD.
