GRIMESLAND, N.C. – Florida Atlantic University's men's and women's cross country teams wrapped up their first American Athletic Conference Championship on Saturday morning.

Running in a 6K, the women's team was led by
Jordan Stevens for the second time this season as they ran for an 11th place finish, while the men's team saw
Paul Glick once again leading the way for the Owls in the 8K.

On the women's race
"Our women's team had a good day! We beat a number of teams we lost to at conference last year and we set a number of new personal records. As a coaching staff, we are very happy with how we competed at our inaugural AAC championship and we are excited to keep improving in the future!"

On the men's race
"Our men's team ran very valiantly and all five guys came away with new personal records. We have a young core and the team is hungry to improve in the near future!"

Women
- Stevens was the Owls' top finisher with a personal best time (22:28.1)
- Leah Helms and Jessica Hatch were the next Owls to finish, followed consecutively with times of 22:46.9 and 22:47.4, respectively
- Paige Saiz recorded a time of 22:54.4

Men
- Glick set a personal record of 25:41.1
- Samuel Henery was the next Owl to cross the finish line, posting a time of 25:50.7
- Luke Gaudet tallied a time of 26:19.3

One final race remains on the calendar. The Owls will head to Gainesville to compete in the NCAA South Regionals on Friday, Nov. 10.
