TAMPA – The first away game of the 2022 season will bring the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team to University of South Florida on Sunday, August 28.Â

FAU (1-1-1) battled to a scoreless draw against Miami last time out on Thursday night. The Owls controlled the pace of the game, outshooting the Hurricanes 10-7 and holding a 9-2 edge in corner kicks. Additionally, FAU controlled possession 56% of the match.

The shutout was the second in a row for the FAU defense and goalkeeper
Blythe Braun. Braun tallied six saves in the win over Miami. The Owls have a streak of 207 minutes without surrendering a goal dating back to the first game of the year against Alabama.

USF holds the edge in this all-time series with a 9-6-2 mark against FAU dating back to 1996. The Bulls took the last meeting in the spring 2021 season.

These two teams will get to know each other well heading into the future. FAU will join the American Athletic Conference next year, with USF being one of its conference opponents.
