BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University baseball team (21-12) will meet Miami for the third and final time this season on Tuesday. The Owls are coming off a 13-6 win over UAB on Sunday.
OWLS IN REVIEW
The Owls bounced back on Sunday after dropping the first two against UAB. Tyler Burnham earned his second win of the season with five strong innings. The graduate senior allowed just two hits and one run while striking out four. Gabriel Rincones, Jr., Nolan Schanuel, and Dylan Goldstein combined to go 7-for-14 at the plate with three home runs and 10 RBI in the 13-6 victory.For the season, Rincones, Jr. and Schanuel have combined for a powerful one-two punch. Rincones, Jr. is tied for the C-USA lead in RBI (50) and is second in home runs (12). On Monday, he was named as the conference's Hitter of the Week for the first time in his career. Schanuel leads the league with 52 hits, a .419 average, and a .532 on base percentage.
THE OWLS' OPPONENT
Since defeating the Owls 7-1 in Boca Raton on March 23, the Hurricanes have won 13 straight. Miami is coming off a three-game sweep of No. 3 Virginia over the weekend which helped move the Canes up from No. 8 to No. 2 in the most recent D1Baseball Top 25 poll. They currently lead the ACC-Coastal Division by four games.UM has five hitters with averages over .300. Dominic Pitelli leads the team with 33 RBI while Yohandy Morales is tops with seven home runs. CJ Kayfus is hitting a team-best .377 with 31 driven in.

This is the third meeting of the season between the Owls and Hurricanes. Miami won each of the first two. In the March 23 matchup, the teams were tied at 1-1 after six innings before the Canes rallied for three runs in the seventh.
