BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team wrapped up their third meet of the outdoor season at the Miami Hurricane Collegiate Invitational on Saturday. The Owls competed in six events, highlighted by two top 10 finishes in the long jump for the second week in a row.

- Kaitlyn Kirby and Breyanna Chambliss had another dominant showing in the long jump, both finishing in the top 10 for the second week in a row. Kirby finished in fourth place with a mark of 5.58, good for ninth in school history. Chambliss followed close behind in sixth place with mark time of 5.49
- Kirby also competed in the 100m hurdle run, finishing in 18th place (14.81)
- Freshman Melissa Mundell represented the Owls in the 400m run with a solid showing, placing in 17th with a time of 58.80
- A trio of freshman runners competed in the 100m. Abraiya Elam led the way with a time of 12.33
- Eriana Teague finished in 8th place in the 400m hurdles (1:06.28)

Next up on the schedule for the Owls is to compete at the High Point Invitational in North Carolina on Friday April 1.
