BOCA RATON, Fla. – Week 16 of the NFL season is in the books and seven former Florida Atlantic University football players saw action. Here's a rundown of how each performed during the 16th week of the 2022 NFL season (All gametimes listed below are Eastern):

#51 Azeez Al-Shaair | LB | San Francisco 49ers
- It was a busy day for Al-Shaair, making his fifth consecutive start as the third linebacker in San Francisco's base 4-3 defense. He was in on 36% of the team's defensive snaps, his most in four games. Al-Shaair continues to be a force against opposing running backs, with his one tackle coming on a stuff of Washington Commanders RB Brian Robinson, stopping him from gaining a yard. The 49ers made quick work of Washington in the 37-20 win.
49ers' Record: 11-4 (Clinched NFC West title, currently the third seed in the conference behind the Philadelphia Eagles and Minnesota Vikings)

#88 Harrison Bryant | TE | Cleveland Browns
- Bryant logged a start as Cleveland's second tight end, his seventh of the season and first since Week 10. He played 13 additional snaps as the Browns lost to the New Orleans Saints 17-10.
Browns' Record:Â 6-9 (Fourth in the AFC North, eliminated from postseason contention)

#91 Trey Hendrickson | DE | Cincinnati Bengals
- The Pro Bowler Hendrickson returned to action after missing one game due to a broken wrist. Cincinnati eased him back in, only putting him in on 43% of the defensive snaps, but he made an impact early on with a tackle on his second play back. The Bengals held on to beat the Patriots 22-18.
Bengals' Record:Â 11-4 (Currently in first place in the AFC North, clinched a playoff spot, would be in the third seed behind the Kansas City Chiefs and Buffalo Bills if the season ended today)

#1 Greg Joseph | K | Minnesota Vikings
- How did Joseph follow up Week 15, where he nailed the game winning field goal to complete the largest comeback in NFL history? He did so this past Sunday with another game winner as time expired, this time from an incredible 61 yards. Not only was it a new career long for Joseph, it set the record for longest field goal of the 62-year-old Minnesota Vikings franchise. It was the cherry on top of a perfect day for Joseph in the 27-24 victory over the New York Giants, as he made his other field goal attempt as well as all three extra points. For his performance, he was named the NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for the second time of the season.
Vikings' Record: 12-3 (Clinched NFC North title, currently the second seed behind Philadelphia)

#42 James Pierre | CB | Pittsburgh Steelers
- Pierre played defensive snaps for the fifth game in a row, this week playing 16 as well as 12 additional on special teams. He was lockdown in coverage, with not a single pass surrendered in three targets, as Pittsburgh beat the Las Vegas Raiders by a score of 13-10.
Steelers' Record:Â 7-8 (Currently third place in the AFC North and one game behind the last wild card spot with the same record as three other teams, though due to tiebreakers would be the 11th seed if the season ended today)

#26 Devin Singletary | RB | Buffalo Bills
- "Motor" put forth his best outing of the season in the 35-13 victory over the Chicago Bears. It was a day of season-highs for Singletary: 106 rushing yards on just 12 carries, an average of 8.83 yards per attempt. This marked the third game of his career where he hit the century mark in rushing yards and first time this season. Singletary's play of the day came on a season-long 33-yard run that resulted in a Buffalo touchdown, where he followed the lead block of the pulling right tackle and used a shifty juke move to find a gap to run all the way into the end zone.
Bills' Record: 12-3 (Clinched the AFC East title, currently the number one seed in the AFC)

#73 Brandon Walton | OT | Tampa Bay Buccaneers
- With Tampa's usual starting left tackle Donovan Smith out and backup Josh Wells going down early in the game with an injury, Walton was thrown into action with the important task of protecting QB Tom Brady's blindside. He held his own in 65 snaps, not allowing a sack as Tampa completed a double digit comeback to win 16-13 in overtime.
Buccaneers' Record: 7-8 (Currently in first place in the NFC South and fourth seed in the conference)
