BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams will travel out of state to compete in the NCAA South Regional race on Friday morning in Huntsville, Alabama. The race will be hosted by North Alabama.

The women will be running a 6K, with Leah Helms, Madlen Kappeler, Casey O'Connor, Anabell Reumann, Paige Saiz, and Jordan Stevens set to race.

The men will be running a season long 10K with Christopher Jones, Matthew Labrato, and Bodey Miller. FAU is among 39 teams on the women's side and 34 on the men's side who will be competing.

Last Time Out

Women (6K)

The women finished in seventh place out of 11 teams in their final Conference USA Championships
Madlen Kappeler earned second team all-conference with a time of 21:54.5, good for 14th place
Casey O'Connor finished in 26th place (22:50.6)

Men (8K)

The men finished in 10th place
Christopher Jones set a new personal record with a time of 28:11.7,
Bodey Miller followed closely behind (28:28.4)
