BOCA RATON, Fla. – The final regular-season game of the 2022 season awaits the Florida Atlantic University women's soccer team. The Owls will host in-state foe FIU on Wednesday, Oct. 26 for a 7 p.m. kickoff.
- FAU has clinched a berth into the Conference USA Championship Tournament, which will be held next week in Charlotte
- The Owls currently stand as the No. 5 seed in the conference tourney with 13 points, four behind Louisiana Tech
- FAU solidified its eighth straight appearance in the conference tournament with a 3-0 win on the road at Middle Tennessee on Sunday
- Gi Krstec, Mia Sennes and Thelma Hermannsdottir all scored for FAU
- That duo has combined for 13 goals this season, with five each coming from Krstec and Hermannsdottir along with three from Sennes
- Krstec and Hermannsdottir are tied for second on the team and eighth in Conference USA in goals
- With 75 minutes played in the win over the Blue Raiders, Hailey Landrus became FAU's all-time minutes played leader
- Landrus now stands at 7,055 minutes played over five seasons and 83 games played
- She passed Cristina Rodriguez's former record of 7,044 minutes played from 2003-06
- Landrus is also tied for third in matches played (83) and sits alone in third in matches started (79)
- Hermannsdottir is currently tied for second in FAU history in games played (84)
