Gonzalez Named FAU Director of Tennis

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Ricardo Gonzalez has been named Florida Atlantic University's director of men's and women's tennis, as announced by Brian White, FAU's vice president and director of athletics, on Thursday.
Gonzalez has served as the men's tennis team's head coach since 2013 after a one-year stint as a volunteer assistant. In his new role, Gonzalez will oversee the direction of both intercollegiate programs at FAU and will be assisted by Maria Fernanda Alvarez, on the women's side, and Matthew Lasprilla on the men's side. Alvarez joins FAU, as the women's assistant coach, after five years as a tennis professional, holding certifications as well as international playing experience. Complete bio HERE.
Lasprilla began working with the men's team in 2018 and brings more than 20 years of experience to the courts. Complete bio: HERE
