BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University volleyball team (8-5) will begin their Conference USA schedule this weekend with a pair of matches against Old Dominion (7-5) on Friday and Saturday, Sept. 24-25. The Owls will play host for both matches which will take place at Abessinio Court at FAU Arena.

FAU will look to rebound after a tough weekend of competition in the Sunshine Challenge Cup where they faced Miami, UCF and Fllorida Gulf Coast. This will be the first weekend of the the next six in a row where the Owls will play two matches against a C-USA opponent.

You're in Good Hands

FAU continues to produce excellent ball movement on offense and ranks 15th in the country (2nd in C-USA) in team assists, thanks in large part to MiaBella English, who has fed her teammates with 10 or more dimes in every match she's played this season.

Junior libero Camryn Vogler has covered every inch of the backcourt for the Owls this season and sits 7th in C-USA in digs (128).

Back in the Act

Following an injury suffered in practice that sidelined her for the team's first seven matches, sophomore middle blocker Nikola Bartecka has come back in a big way to lead the Owls in hitting percentage (.432) over the last five contests.

Ace in the Hole

Freshman Klara Zarnovicka is currently third in the nation in total aces with 28. She has recorded a service ace in 11 of her 13 matches played this season.

FAU has gotten quality service effort from all sides this season. The Owls and their 83 total aces rank behind only UTEP (97) for most in C-USA.

Series History

FAU vs. ODU – The Owls have faced the Monarchs just twice, as last season was the first ever for ODU volleyball. The Monarchs earned a pair of wins from the Owls in the teams' lone series, played from Feb. 28-Mar. 1 of this year.
