– The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (5-4-2, 2-4-0 in Conference USA) looks to end the 2021 spring season on a high note on Saturday, as the squad hosts UAB (3-11-1, 1-4-1 C-USA) with a 1 p.m. first touch. With a win, the Owls would clinch a winning season for the first time since 2007. Prior to the match, the team will honor its lone senior,
Daniel Skistad.

- FAU is going into the match posting a 2-4 C-USA record, while holding onto a 5-4-2 overall winning record
- The Owls have not celebrated a winning regular season since 2007 when FAU finished 11-7-2, while winning the Atlantic Soccer Conference Tournament that year. A win on Saturday would be the first clinch in 13 seasons
- FAU has outscored (12-10) and outshot (108-100) opponents this season
- Ivan Mykhailenko leads the team with four goals for eight points along with 25 shots
- Tom Abrahamsson, Jose Alastuey, Alonso Coello Camarero, Fabrizio Cubeddu, Blake Dean and Skistad lead the way with one assist each
- Neil Strauber has started in all 11 matches in net to total 1,030 minutes. He has tallied a 0.87 goals against average, 34 saves and a 0.773 save percentage. His four shutouts is the second most in the league, 29th in the NCAA
- Graeme Pratt has played all but nine minutes on the pitch at centerback, while Skistad and Vasilis Spinos have been instrumental on the Owls' backline
- The Owls are sixth in the C-USA standings with six points

- The Blazers are 3-11-1, while standing in seventh in the conference standings with a 1-4-1 mark for four points
- Joseph Buete leads the team with four points off two goals on the year
- Cale Loughrey, Tyrell Price and Brooks Rice each have an assist
- Seth Torman (2-3-1) and Caelan Whitehead (1-8-0) share time in net this season. Torman leads the way in goals against average with 1.44, while Whitehead has captured 36 saves

- FAU took down the Blazers in Birmingham last year in a big 1-0 road game. Jean Paul Rafols cashed in on the game-winning goal in the 84th minute of the match

- After allowing a goal at the ninth minute, the Owls hung tough and got 11 shots off, but were unable to connect between the pipes
