BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University baseball team gets the Conference USA portion of their 2021 schedule underway this weekend at home, hosting Marshall for a four-game series.

As all C-USA series will be this season, games are set for a Friday night opener, Saturday doubleheader (two seven-inning games) and Sunday finale. For this weekend, Friday is at 5 p.m., Saturday's DH begins at 2 p.m., and Sunday is an 11:30 a.m. first pitch.

NOTE: All four games have already reached capacity for general ticket sales. Only a limited amount of student seats are available at the gate, first come, first serve.

Owls' Midweek in Review
The Owls (10-9) fell behind early to Miami and saw late efforts, both offensively and in the bullpen, come up just short in a 14-9 loss.

Owls' Weekend in Preview
Marshall (4-7) recovered from a three-game road sweep at Southern Illinois last weekend to defeat West Virginia on Tuesday night in Huntington, 7-1. Luke Edwards leads four .300 or better hitters for the Thundering Herd, at .357, while another of those, Ryan Leitch (.321) paces the squad with five home runs and nine RBI.

Opponent History
The Owls and Herd met every season for a three-game series from 2014-18, with FAU winning 11 of the 15 games, the last three, and five of the last six. The most recent matchups took place in Charleston, West Virginia, on March 31 and April 1, 2018. The Owls swept that weekend by scores of 3-2, 8-6 and 17-3 (in seven innings).
