BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team will test its skills at one of the sport's most prestigious tournaments this week, The Goodwin.
On Thursday, the Owls will begin The Goodwin, a three-day Stanford-hosted tournament. The Goodwin's stacked 28-team field includes: No. 6 Pepperdine, No. 7 Arizona State, No. 9 SMU, No. 42 Georgia Tech, No. 50 San Diego, TCU, Nevada, Denver, Colorado, Stanford, Washington State, Cal Baptist, Long Beach, Cal, Minnesota, BYU, Saint Mary's, Pacific, UC Davis, Cal Poly, Santa Clara, Northwestern, Washington, Oregon, San Jose State and UCLA. Â
FAU comes into The Goodwin ranked 86th, per Golfstat, and can improve significantly with a strong performance.Â

Ryan Jamison said. "We have some positive momentum after our last couple of events and this will be another great challenge for us. We will be do our best to be in the moment and be as prepared as possible."
The Goodwin will take place at the Stanford Golf Course, which is a Par 70 with a 6742 yardage.
FAU will tee off the first round at 7 a.m. Pacific on Thursday. On Friday, the Owls will tee off Round Two at 12:10 p.m. Pacific. Round Three tee times will be determined by the scores of the first two rounds. Live stats are available

The Goodwin marks a return to Jamison's old stomping grounds. Prior to joining the Owls, Jamison served as an assistant coach at Stanford from 2016-18. The Cardinal, under Jamison's direction, won The Goodwin and a NCAA Regional Championship, in addition to a top-20 finish at the NCAA Championships.
