Owls' Weekend in Review
The Owls (10-7) had their final non-conference weekend series, and split the first two games against USF before the Bulls took the finale and the set, in an 11-inning affair on Sunday.
Â
The team ranks No. 30 in Division I with 25 home runs, which is good enough for No. 3 in Conference USA. A quartet of Owls have four apiece:
Bobby Morgensen,
B.J. Murray,
Caleb Pendleton and
Nolan Schanuel.
Wilfredo Alvarez continues to lead all C-USA hitters in runs scored with 22, placing him 22nd in the country. Schanuel's 23 RBI is 19th nationally and second in the conference.
Â
Owls' Midweek in Preview
UM (9-7), ranked No. 18 by Baseball America, was swept at home this weekend by ACC rival Florida State, by scores of 13-1, 9-1 and 12-0. That snapped the Hurricanes' six-game winning streak coming in.
Â
The Del Castillo brothers, Carmen and Adrian, are the team's top two hitters by average, at .322 and .311, respectively. Yohandy Morales has a team-best 15 RBI, two more than Adrian Del Castillo and Anthony Vilar. That trio paces the squad with three home runs apiece.

Midweek Probable Starting Pitching Matchup
