– The Florida Atlantic University men's soccer team (3-2-2, 0-2-0 in Conference USA) looks to find its way back in the win column, as they travel to Old Dominion (1-0-2, 0-0-2 C-USA) for a key C-USA match. FAU and ODU will square off on Sunday at 11 a.m. at the ODU Soccer Complex.

- FAU finished the non-conference slate of the spring season with a 3-0-2 record, but have dropped their first two C-USA matches to start the first seven games at 3-2-2
- The Owls look to bounce back from a two-game losing skid, while handing the Monarchs their first loss of the season
- FAU has outscored (9-7) and outshot opponents (67-47) this season
- Alonso Coello Camarero and Blake Dean lead the team with five points each. Both players' points come off two goals and an assist
- Dean, Coello Camarero, Fabrizio Cubeddu and Daniel Skistad each have one assist this year
- Coello Camarero has taken 13 shots, while Ivan Mykhailenko has tallied the most shots on goal with seven
- Neil Strauber has started in all seven games to produce a 0.94 goals against average and a 0.731 save percentage. He has produced 19 saves and three clean sheets
- The Owls' backline is led by center back Graeme Pratt, who has played all 670 minutes
- FAU was projected to finish in fifth in C-USA and Mykhailenko and Coello Camarero were tabbed to the Preseason Team

- ODU has just three games under its belt, but has yet to be defeated this season
- The Monarchs have commenced the conference slate with back-to-back draws
- C-USA head coaches chose ODU to round out the conference in eighth after finishing the 2019 season with a 3-11-1 record
- Ettore Casadei leads the team with four points off two goals
- Djirbil Doumbia has held it down in net to start the team's first three games to produce a 0.58 goals against average, .882 save percentage and 15 saves

- The Owls trail in the series, 7-1-0
- FAU is coming off its first program win over the Monarchs last season, which was achieved in dramatic fashion. The Owls' knocked off ODU 4-3 in overtime to earn a spot to the C-USA Tournament for the first time in school history
- In last season's game, the Owls came up with the equalizer at the 88th minute off an assist from Arturo Ernand. Jose Alastuey scored the game winner in overtime at the 97th minute to send the Owls off with a huge Senior Day win. Andres Macias also had his first goal of the season in the match
- The teams have played each other each year since 2013, both sides' first year in C-USA

- The Owls dropped its home C-USA opener against the Kentucky Wildcats last Saturday, 3-1
- FAU tied the game up in the first half off a good penalty kick from Mykhailenko. The Owls could not hold off UK's offensive attack, as the Wildcats scored two unanswered goals in the latter part of the second half
- Célestin Theodore, Jr. lead the way with three shots, while Mykhailenko took two
- Strauber had two saves on the day

The Owls will be back at home on Saturday, March 27 in a noon matchup against South Carolina.
