BOCA RATON, Fla. – Florida Atlantic University softball (2-8) is set to play a three-game series this weekend in Tampa, against USF, beginning with one game on Saturday, Feb. 27 and concluding on Sunday, Feb. 28 with a doubleheader. Saturday's contest will start at 6:30 p.m., while the Sunday matchups have been changed to 3 p.m. and then immediately after.

The Owls trail the USF all-time series 16-6, but captured the last meeting in 2013, 2-1. FAU is expected by be led by senior catcher
Kaitlyn Burke, who is No. 4 among all Conference USA hitters in batting average and No. 6 in RBI. The duo of
Kaitlyn Cunningham and
Sara Berthiaume has used their legs to stretch doubles into triples and singles into doubles. Cunningham leads the league in triples while Berthiaume is No. 2 in doubles.

The circle is expected to be occupied by lefty
Lynn Gardner who leads C-USA with 31 innings pitched. She stands at No. 5 among pitching leaders with 14 Ks and No. 6 with two wins. Also expected to work the circle are returners
