BOCA RATON, Fla. – On Wednesday afternoon, Conference USA announced its weekly award winners for women's swimming & diving, and Florida Atlantic University took home both honors.Â
Riley Trout was chosen as C-USA Swimmer of the Week, while
Alicia Mora was selected as C-USA Diver of the Week.
Trout receives her first career weekly honor after the freshman placed second in the 200 back (2:05.77) and second in the 200 IM (2:11.64) last time out against Florida. Additionally, Trout swam to a fourth-place finish in the 100 back (59.15) and was a member of the 200 medley relay squad that placed fifth (1:49.23).
Mora also tallies her first career C-USA award. The junior diver put forward a second-place effort in the three-meter dive with a score of 294.60. Mora also captured third place in the one-meter dive, as she posted a score of 286.27.
The Owls will return to the deck for the TYR Invitational at Florida International on Oct. 8 and 9.
