CLEMSON, S.C. – The Florida Atlantic University track & field team concluded the regular season indoor slate on the second of two days at the Bob Pollock Invitational hosted by Clemson. The Owls will have a few weeks to prepare for the Conference USA Championships
Â
"Roughly 10 days ago, we found out that our meet at JDL in Winston-Salem was cancelled," said head coach
Alex Smolka. "After panicking for a couple days, cooler heads prevailed and we found the Clemson Bob Pollock Invitational. Sitting here tonight, I'm so glad the events unfolded as they did. Talk about making lemonade out of lemons! We had a great weekend! We had a total of eight all-time performances, numerous personal records and tremendous efforts by all. The team atmosphere and camaraderie is awesome! The overall attitude amongst the group is great. We now have three weeks to fine-tune everything and get ready to produce even better results at the C-USA Championships. I'm very proud of the progress this group is making!"
