Women's Golf Notches Six WGCA All-American Scholars

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Women's Golf Coaches Association named six Florida Atlantic University players to its All-American scholar team Monday. FAU's Amanda Leslie, Kim Egozi, Arielle Keating, Rosa Barnak, Taylor Morgan and Conference USA Freshman of the Year Justine Fournand earned the honors for maintaining a 3.5 GPA over the 2019-20 season.
The Owls' women's golf squad recorded a 3.870 GPA for the spring 2020 semester, a program record and the highest among all FAU teams for the seventh straight semester.
"I could not be happier for Amanda, Taylor, Arielle, Rosa, Kim and Justine to receive this honor and be named WGCA All-American Scholars," FAU coach Aimee Neff said. "They deserve the recognition for their success in the classroom while competing on the course. They truly embody what it means to be a student-athlete and are great ambassadors for FAU."
FAU has made huge strides academically and athletically over Neff's first two seasons. In 2018-19, FAU had a top-25 team GPA among all women's golf teams, and Leslie, Morgan, Keating and Tai Barber earned WGCA All-American Scholar honors. On the course, FAU improved 75 spots in the national rankings and recorded two of the top-three team scoring averages in program history. Fournand earned 2019 C-USA Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-Conference honors.Â
Neff's squad hopes to continue its academic climb in 2020-21.
