Men’s Basketball Signs Nicholas Boyd

BOCA RATON, Fla. - Florida Atlantic University head men's basketball coach Dusty May has announced the signing of Nicholas Boyd.
"We are extremely excited to add Nick Boyd to our recruiting class," said May. "He comes from a great basketball pedigree and excelled at one of the premier prep school programs this past season, Don Bosco Institute. He is a versatile guard that can play on and off the ball while making his teammates better."
Boyd, a 6-3 guard from Garnerville, New York, attended Don Bosco Institute last year, where he averaged 15 points and six assists per game for the Dons. Prior to that, Boyd played at St. Mary's in Rutherford, New Jersey, where he set the school record for points in a season on his way to 1,110 career points. He was a two-time North Jersey Interscholastic Conference (NJIC) First Team selection and was named NJIC Player of the Year as a senior.
Boyd completes a signing class that includes Sun-Sentinel 6A-7A Player of the Year Giancarlo Rosado, who averaged 26.7 points and nine rebounds per game at Palm Beach Lakes High School, and Johnell "Nelly" Davis, who was named to the Indiana state All-Star team after averaging 31.4 points, 9.8 rebounds, 4.6 steals and 2.6 assists at 21st Century School.
"Nick complements Giancarlo and Johnell from both a character and skill level standpoint and we know he will be a great fit for our program," said May.
