#13 Beach Volleyball Sweeps Day One of the Battle on the Bay

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. - The 13^th-ranked Florida Atlantic University beach volleyball team didn't drop a set in winning its two matches at the Battle on the Bay on Friday. FAU is now 9-1 on the season, its best start to a season in program history.

Match 1 vs. Jacksonville
Erica Brok and Mackenzie Morris swept on court one, 21-13, 21-16. Savannah Pesante and Ellie Austin also recorded a sweep on court two, 21-17, 21-13. At No. 3, Kaila Dorish and Courtney Moon took their match in impressive fashion, 21-14, 21-16. Jillienne Cangelosi and Sam Gott took a straight set win with matching 21-13 scores on court four and Maylin Bouffard and Megan McGrath swept court five 21-6, 21-14 for a clean sweep for FAU.

Match 2 vs. UT-Martin
Brok and Morris posted their second straight set win of the day on court one, 21-11, 21-10. Dorish and Moon swept court two with matching 21-15, 21-15 scores. A 21-15, 21-11 victory by Gott and Cangelosi at no. 3 gave them a 2-0 record on the day. Bouffard and McGrath won 21-18, 21-13 on court four. Jackie Farris and Lily Richman made their first appearance in the lineup, earning an impressive 21-8, 21-6 decision at no. 5.
