CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The four-match winning streak for Florida Atlantic University men's tennis came to an end at the hands of Miami on Sunday afternoon
Notables:
- Miami (6-2) took the 1-0 lead by winning doubles matches on No. 1 and No. 3
- As that point was clinched, the No. 2 FAU (5-6) pair – Alvaro Fernandez Horta and Jason Legall – were leading on their court, 5-4
- UM took straight-set singles wins on No. 1, No. 5 and No. 3 to clinch, and at No. 2 to extend the lead
- No. 4 Filip Krolo was even up late in his second set but would fall
- In the final matchup, Gerard Escandell at No. 6 forced a third set and battled until the bitter end in the 10-set tiebreak, as he was just edged out, 5-7, 6-4, 0-1 (8-10)

FAU will have next weekend off from competition. Then, the Owls set off for the first three of what will be a five-match road trip.
