BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's and women's cross country teams were honored for their hard work in the classroom, both earning USTFCCCA All-Academic team honors. To qualify for the award, teams must achieve a 3.0 GPA or higher.
"I am thrilled to see our teams recognized for their combinations of academic and athletic achievements," said head coach
Alex Smolka. "They are great representatives of the student-athlete experience provided by FAU. I am very appreciative of the excellent professors and advisors who help guide our students throughout their academic career. We, as a university, have great support systems in place to provide our student athletes the necessary resources to excel athletically as well as academically and help them prepare for the rest of their lives!"
The women's team earned All-Academic team distinction by achieving a 3.38 GPA. Four different student-athletes tallied a 3.5 GPA or better, including
