BOCA RATON, Fla. - The 18th-ranked Florida Atlantic beach volleyball team will open its 2020 season at the UNF Beach Invitational, Friday and Saturday in Jacksonville.
The Owls will play (RV) Mercer at 10:30 a.m. and No. 10 FIU at 1 p.m. on Friday, then face No. 17 Georgia State and host (RV) UNF on Saturday at noon and 1:30 p.m., respectively.

FAU returns seven starters from 2019, led by juniors Erica Brok and Mackenzie Morris, who went 19-9 as a team in 2019 and earned the AVCA Top Flight Award
Head coach Capri Grotowski returns for her sixth season leading the Sandy Owls
Junior Kaila Dorish was named to the CCSA Preseason Watch List

LAST SEASON

FAU went 13-15 in 2019, finishing the year ranked 17th in the nation
In addition to Brok/Morris, Amanda Silva/Nicole Grant also earned the AVCA Top Flight Award
The Owls also won the AVCA Team Academic Award, boasting a 3.50 team GPA for the 2018-19 academic year

FAU has a combined 7-25 all-time record against the tournament field
