BOCA RATON, Fla.– The Florida Atlantic University women's swimming & diving team will compete in their final dual meet of the season at FIU on Saturday. The meet is set to begin at 10 a.m. at Biscayne Bay Aquatic Center in Miami.

Recap vs. Florida State
The men's and women's teams came up with five top-three finishes against No. 15/25 Florida State and the Miami women's team. Abby Marshall logged first place in thee 100 back (56.41) and second in the 200 back (2:03.78). Spence Atkins captured three fourth place showings in each of her events, which included the 1000 free (10:30.46), 200 fly (2:05.66) and 500 free (5:10.65). Malvina Catalano finished fourth in the 1-meter (273.95).
On the men's side, three different Owls tallied third place finishes, which included Will Smith in the 1000 free (9:36.45), Kyle Douglas in the 200 back (1:58.06) and Rateb Hussein in the 200 fly (1:52.05). Logan Downey captured fourth place in the 1-meter (299.70).
Last Time Against FIU
The FIU Panthers came to Boca Raton last season, as the Owls fell 154.5-85.5. Fatimah Westbrook logged first place in the 100 free (52.44) and 100 breast (1:05.19) and won Conference USA Swimmer of the Week. Marshall finished the day with first place. In the 50 free (24.38) and second in the 100 back (57.36), while Spence Atkins tallied first in the 100 fly (57.48) and second in the 400 IM (4:30.67). On the boards, Malvina Cattalano came up with season-high scores in the 1-meter (289.20) to finish second and 3-meter (294) to round out in third.
On Deck
The divers will have one final meet before conference championships, as the Owls will face FIU, Florida Gulf Coast, Indian River State and Miami in Coral Springs on Friday, Feb. 7.
