Round Three of the Latin American Amateur Championship

Boca Raton, Fla. -- For the third straight round of the Latin American Amateur Championship, Florida Atlantic University golfer Justin Burrowes scored a solid three-over-par on the back nine.

But the front nine wasn't as friendly Saturday in Mayakoba, Mexico, as the freshman shot nine-over-par.

Burrowes is 23-over-par with a score of 236 with 18 holes remaining.

Only 51 golfers, including Burrowes, qualified for the final 36 holes; more than half missed the cut after Round 2. He did so off an impressive showing Friday, in which he scored a four-over-par 75.

Burrowes hopes to finish strong Sunday in the LAAC's final round.
