DALLAS – Florida Atlantic University track and field member
Anne-Catherine Wasser has been recognized as the school's recipient of the Conference USA Spirit of Service Award, as announced by the league on Thursday.
Wasser is one of 14 athletes being recognized for the spring season sports, which include, baseball, men's and women's golf, softball, men's and women's outdoor track, and field and men's and women's tennis.
The Willich, Germany native bounced back from an injury that kept her out of the indoor season to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor East Regional in Jacksonville, competing in the 400 meter hurdles.
Wasser has maintained a 4.00 grade point average as a double major in public management and psychology. The rising-senior has also spent her time volunteering with various organizations including, SAAC, Girls on the Run and AD Henderson. She participates in benefit runs, using her passion for running to help others.
Earlier this season, Wasser was also named to the C-USA All-Academic Team and to the CoSIDA Academic All-District Team.
