Men's Golf Takes on Field at C-USA Championship

BOCA RATON, Fla. – The Florida Atlantic University men's golf team will be head into the postseason this week at the Conference USA Championship held in Texarkana, Arkansas.

THE FORMAT
The tournament runs for a total of four days. The first three days will feature all 13 teams playing 18 holes each day. After three rounds of stroke play, the top four teams will be seeded and will conclude with match play.

WEATHER UPDATE: Due to predicted inclement weather in the area, the first and second rounds will be played on Monday with the golfers taking carts. The third round will be played Tuesday. Matchplay semifinals may be played following the third on Tuesday, but that decision will not be made until Tuesday morning.

THE FIELD
C-USA fields 13 men's golf team including, Charlotte, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, Middle Tennessee, North Texas, Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, UAB, UTEP, UTSA, WKU and FAU.

LAST TIME OUT
The Owls were last on the course at their home tournament March 30-April 1. FAU finished the tournament 26-under par to earn second place behind UCF. The Owls shot their second lowest 54-hole total in FAU history. Sully Zagerman led FAU, going 11-under for the tournament.
