Sidney of Men’s Tennis Chosen to C-USA All-Academic Team

BOCA RATON, Fla. – Ahead of this weekend's championship tournament, Florida Atlantic University men's tennis senior Gabriel Sidney was honored on Tuesday morning with a spot on the 2019 InTouch Credit Union Conference USA Men's Tennis All-Academic Team, as announced by the league.

For the second straight year, Sidney earns this recognition from C-USA, as he currently holds a 3.725 GPA towards a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in international business. On the court, the native of Londrina, Brazil, finished the regular season with nine singles and 11 doubles wins, including a late-season stretch with four singles wins in a row. He recently has combined with fellow senior Mehdi Laalej for five doubles victories at the No. 2 slot, as well as a win at No. 1, during the dual match portion of the season.
